Horrible Hotel pt. 1 (sleep is hard to find even if its paid for)

My latest crazy customer service week. 1 week ago!!! Its a beautiful day, my mother and I are headed up to Newport News, Va from our home in MD. We are going to visit my cousin at Christopher Newport University for Family Day. We arrive in town and stop at our hotel, where we had reservations, THE COMFORT INN SUITES and check in. At this time we were told that we could not enter our room because it was "too early". My mother and I glance at each other, she rolls her eyes, and says "Fine, Can I pay?" The concierge says "Of course," takes the money, gives us directions to the university and send us on our way. By this time it is around 3 o'clock and the events for Family Day were starting but this story is not about Family Day. We hung out with my cousin until around 8pm and then decided to go to the movies and see "The Family" (a great movie about a family involved with the mob). After the movie my mother and I head back to our hotel. We arrive at our hotel between 11 and 1130 and receive our keys. After travelling for 4 hours, walking abound campus for 3 hours, and attending a football game we are finally able to relax. My mother takes the key and slides in the door. The first time is does not work, and it does not work the second time either, then on the third try the light turns green and we can enter our room. As my mom pushes the door open and takes her first steps inside, with me close behind, she stops and looks around her face full of shock, and I say "ummm What in the world is this?" You won't believe what we see and what comes next. First post just want to know what a couple people think since someone will actually be reading will be finishing the story soon.
